WHAT IS ZONE 4?

We are the VA-Carolinas Canvas Products Association, an organization of both suppliers and fabricators of "canvas" products.

Our Supplier members manufacture and/or sell fabric, hardware, or other goods and services to the industrial fabrics industry.

Our fabricator members construct and sell goods in the industry. This includes awnings and canopies; marine covers, tops, and upholstery; camping, party, rental and military tents; banners and flags; truck covers and tarpaulins; and many other items.

We are called Zone 4 because we are affiliated with the Industrial Fabrics Association International. They have designated us "Zone 4" out of the many smaller regional organizations who have chosen to be a part of their association. As a Zone member you are "affiliated" with IFAI but need not be a member of IFAI to be a Zone Member. Many of our folks are members of both and many are only Zone 4 Members.

We meet together once a year, usually in September. We enjoy sharing our experience and knowledge, and learning about new products and techniques. We enjoy the fellowship of others who have something in common with us making a living in an interesting and ever-changing industry.

We invite you to take part in our organization. Join us in September at Convention and see if it isn't worth your time and money. We think that you will come away with some information useful in your work, and that you will also have fun at the same time.

Zone 4 is both "a place" and "people" to foster and build professional and personal partnerships beneficial to our ventures individually and collectively. In other words.....

Save the date for our 60th annual convention!  The board is meeting at the end of March to plan our September convention. The board and I are very excited about 2013!  We are going to have a great weekend of fun, learning and fellowship.  Stay tuned to our website for more information.

Thanks for visiting our website, 2013 is going to be an exciting year for the Zone 4!  Whether you are a canvas fabricator, awning manufacturer  or supplier, attending the Zone 4 convention provides valuable opportunities to hone business and technical skills, network with industry experts, gain exposure to cutting edge materials, tools and technologies, and have lots of fun.

Market Day at the convention provides a unique opportunity to meet suppliers face to face and to put your hands on the latest products and technologies available.

The awning and marine seminars provide small group atmospheres for learning and sharing with some real industry experts.  Shop tours provide insight into how others do what you do and spark ideas for new and creative ways to use your space .

Entries into the Professional Work Photo Contest are displayed for the duration of the convention, and award winners are recognized at the closing awards banquet. $$cash prizes for entry$$

The convention atmosphere is casual and relaxed. Come prepared to, have fun, learn, network, and recharge those batteries. I am confident that this investment in yourself and your business will pay dividends for years to come. I look forward to seeing you there.
